Kate Lomas has a diverse work experience in various fields, including co-founding and serving as CSO at Hemideina, a company focused on reinventing the cochlear implant. Kate has also worked as a Project Leader and Research Scientist at CSIRO, where they held multiple postdoctoral fellow positions. Additionally, they have served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Auckland. Kate is currently a member of the Industry Advisory Committee at RMIT University.
Kate Lomas attended The University of Auckland from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences. Kate then pursued further education at the same institution from 2005 to 2007, completing their Master of Science degree, again specializing in Biology/Biological Sciences. Kate continued their academic journey at The University of Auckland from 2008 to 2012, during which they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in General Biology/Biological Sciences.
