Dina El-Zohiry is currently a Doctoral Researcher at the Helsinki Institute of Life Science (HiLIFE) since February 2024, focusing on culturing vascularized brain organoids for drug screening and studying neural network impairments in schizophrenia-derived brain assembloids. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at the University of Cambridge, an Assistant Lecturer at The British University in Egypt, and a Project Intern at Precipio, Inc., where contributions included cancer diagnosis and participation in a Covid-19 research project. Additional experience encompasses research on cell culture and stem cell research at Cairo University, teaching physiology, and leading a project for 3D-printed prosthetics. Dina holds a Master's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of New Haven and has pursued education in innovation and entrepreneurship, along with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology/Biomolecular Chemistry from Cairo University.
