Jacob Payne has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple industries. Jacob began their career as a Street Team Member for the Chicago Bears in 2015, where they managed promotional events and interacted with fans. Jacob then joined the Hypest Team in 2016 as a Social Media Manager, Writer, and Tournament Organizer for a Smash Brothers-centered e-Sports team. Jacob played a major role in the media coverage of Heir 3, the biggest tournament in the United Kingdom. In 2017, Jacob worked as a Contributing Writer for SB Nation, analyzing opponents of the Chicago Fire soccer team.

Moving into the tech industry, Jacob joined Uber in 2015, initially working as an Incident Response Investigator, responding to critical incidents and helping to develop processes for efficient operations. Jacob later became a Team Lead, managing a training team and supporting improvements in existing support processes.
