Johannes Schatz has a wide range of experience in online marketing and analytics. Johannes co-founded HelloBetter in 2019, where they served as the VP of Marketing. Prior to that, they worked as a freelancer since 2013, providing consulting and coaching services in online marketing, analytics, and marketing intelligence. Johannes also founded and served as a partner at LEROI Consulting, specializing in online and mobile marketing, web tracking, and marketing intelligence. Before that, they founded and managed dealvertise GmbH. Johannes has experience working for companies such as Groupon International and Rocket Internet GmbH, and they have held various roles in project management and internet marketing.

Johannes Schatz attended Graf Zeppelin Gymnasium Friedrichshafen from 1993 to 2002, where they obtained their Abitur degree. Johannes then enrolled at Hochschule Mittweida from 2006 to 2009, majoring in Media Management. In 2008, they also attended the International Business School at Vilnius University, Lithuania, where they studied Cross-Cultural Marketing for a brief period.
