JOB DESCRIPTION  

Helinet is seeking a motivated, results-driven Director of Technology Sales to pursue new business opportunities and meet the company’s acquisition and growth objectives. This position will lead HT Sales, manage the HT team, and be responsible for capturing new RFP and technology opportunities. The role will encompass project management, business development, technology research and design, and client relations. The Director of Technology Sales requires salesmanship, technical expertise, and leadership experience.  

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

  • Identify new sales opportunities and complete relevant research on prospective clients’ business and equipment needs.

  • Manage and oversee the HT pipeline with the support of internal team.

  • Establish sales objectives and achieve targets.

  • Manage relationships with current suppliers and partners.

  • Seek out new, cutting-edge technology that will benefit current and potential clients.

  • Develop relationships with prospective clients while maintaining existing client relationships.

  • Ensuring technologies are used efficiently, profitably, and securely.

  • Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develop solutions to program problems, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budgets

  • Coordinate all required disciplines (purchasing, planning, quality, sales, etc.) to execute technology solutions to customers’ expectations, meeting or exceeding quality and cost objectives. Make required adjustments and recommends changes to maintain targeted margins.

  • Assist with customer demos of new and emerging technologies.

  • Provide monthly updates to the Executive Leadership Team through business status reports.

  • Lead the development of quotations and proposals; identify opportunities for growth within programs and new potential projects.

  • Work closely with executive leadership and finance & accounting to create budget, P&L, and financial KPI’s.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven technical and system expertise in the implementation and service of mission-critical airborne technology systems and solutions.
  • Must develop a broad understanding of the strategic and operational needs our services address and guide our internal team to best serve our customer’s current and future needs.
  • Has demonstrated strong leadership, maintains professionalism with clients and internal teams, strategic thinking, collaboration, project management, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
  • Superior communication skills and can present their ideas clearly and concisely; one who can adapt their communication style as needed.
  • Willing to travel to industry trade shows and events and to meet with clients and industry partners.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience working in aviation and with airborne law enforcement is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Program Management, Business or Engineering from a four-year college or university is preferred.

  • Proficient using a CRM and with contract management preferred.

  • Prior experience and a strong track record of success in a leadership role.

  • A team player who thrives in helping others succeed.

  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to be hands-on.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years related experience.
