Eeva Nyyssönen currently serves as the Communication Secretary at HELCOM - Baltic Marine Environment Protection Commission since March 2023. Previously, Eeva worked as a Communications Associate at UNU-WIDER, where responsibilities included strategic project communications, content creation, and media engagement. Eeva's extensive experience also includes roles as Project Director and Social Development Specialist at Finnish Overseas Consultants, Communications Manager at Girl Effect, and Communications Specialist at UNDP, among others. Eeva's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Documentary Research from the University of the Arts London and a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Glasgow.
