Øyvind Teigen has extensive experience in the technology and energy sectors. Øyvind is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at Heimdall Power, where they are leading the development of solutions for the digitization and optimization of the power grid. Prior to this role, they served as the Subsea Technology Leader at Baker Hughes, a GE company, where they designed and manufactured high accuracy sensing instrumentation and sensors for harsh environments.
Their previous experience includes working as a Manufacturing Manager at Magseis Fairfield ASA and holding various managerial positions at Schlumberger. At Schlumberger, they managed the Verification & Validation team in the Seismic Product Group and ensured quality throughout the design, sourcing, and manufacturing processes. Øyvind also served as the Center Sustaining Manager, responsible for prioritization and execution of sustaining projects for seismic products.
In addition, Øyvind has held project management roles at Schlumberger, where they led the development of the IsoMetrix digital acquisition system for marine streamers. Øyvind also has a background in mechanical engineering and has contributed to the development of towed marine seismic streamers, performing simulations, modeling, and analysis of towed marine structures.
Øyvind Teigen obtained their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1999 to 2004. During their studies, from 2002 to 2003, they also pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.
