Matthias Walz, a seasoned finance professional, has held various leadership roles at Heel since February 2013, including Director Finance and Head of Strategic Analysis & Controlling, where responsibilities encompassed strategic planning, budgeting, and management reporting improvements through BI tool implementation. Previously, Matthias served at Deutsche Lufthansa from 2007 to 2013 as Head of Internal Control System and Head of Finance & HR Iberia, overseeing financial management, internal controls, and HR functions. Additionally, Matthias has experience at Lufthansa Cargo AG in roles that focused on cash flow management, corporate finance, and process optimization. Matthias holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Mannheim and has further education from Universidad de Chile.
