Markus Breithaupt has a strong track record of leadership positions in the facilities management industry. Markus is currently the CEO of Vebego Deutschland since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of CEO at hectas Facility Services starting in June 2011. From May 2009 to May 2011, Breithaupt served as the General Representative at Gegenbauer Holding SA & Co. KG and also simultaneously held the position of Managing Director at Gegenbauer Facility Management GmbH. Before that, Breithaupt held the role of Head of Strategic Projects at HOCHTIEF AG from January 2007 to December 2008. Markus then served as the CEO of HOCHTIEF Facility Management GmbH from October 1997 to December 2006. In their earlier career, Breithaupt held management roles at Deutsche Bau- und Siedlungsgesellschaft mbH and agiplan Anlagen Consulting GmbH. Markus started their professional journey as a Sales Representative for Dv-Systemlösungen at Dr. Richtmann und Eder GmbH.

Markus Breithaupt pursued their education at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences from 1984 to 1989. During this period, they obtained a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in the field of study known as Bauingenieurwesen Fachrichtung Baubetrieb.
