Karen John started their career in 1994 as a Project Manager at Studio Citterio Dwan. Karen then moved on to work at Trilogy as a Manager of Sales Operations in 1998. In 1999, they joined carOrder.com as the VP of Operations. From 2003 to 2006, Karen held roles at Design Within Reach, including VP of Design & Merchandising and Director of Product Development. In 2008, they founded their own consulting firm called Karen John Design, where they focus on the power of design to drive brand innovation. Finally, in 2012, Karen became the Founder and CEO of Heartwork.com, a company that designs and manufactures furniture for creative workspaces.
