Sarah Brune is an accomplished communications and policy professional with extensive experience in public affairs and community engagement. Currently serving as the Director of Communications and Policy at Heartland Next, a Black & Woman-owned agency, Brune has worked with clients focused on social change, nonprofit initiatives, and progressive candidates. As the Director of Public Policy at Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago, Brune addresses systemic barriers in homeownership for borrowers of color. Previously, as the Executive Director of Reform for Illinois, Brune achieved significant organizational growth and implemented key policy proposals. Brune's earlier roles include Deputy Director at Business Partners and Communications Coordinator for Alderman Harry Osterman. Brune holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication from Lake Forest College and has furthered education through the Baumhart Center for Social Enterprise and Responsibility at Loyola University Chicago.
