VP, Continuous Improvement at Hearthside Food Solutions

Chris Terry is the current Vice President of Continuous Improvement at Hearthside Food Solutions. Chris has over 25 years of experience in the food engineering industry and has held various positions at different companies.

Chris started their career in 1992 as a contract food consulting engineer with TJ Pasternock, LTD. In this role, they provided engineering services to food industry clients, including facility analysis, layout, operational improvements, and startup of new operations. Chris also consulted on food processing and packaging problems, such as bulk pneumatic conveyance, facility layout for shipping and receiving, standard development for individual packaging and mixing operations, cost reduction studies, building demolition and plant shutdowns, building HVAC repair assessments, building utility remediation, energy efficiency studies, mezzanine design and construction, safety /ergonomic design of workstations, automation feasibility, etc.

In 1998, Chris took a position as Packaging Systems Engineer with General Mills Inc., Foodservice Div. In this role, they were responsible for developing packaging systems for the foodservice division. Chris also oversaw the construction of a new packaging facility in St. Charles, IL.

From 2001 to 2004, Chris worked as a Project Engineer with Worlds Finest Chocolate, Inc. In this role, they managed projects related to the design and implementation of new packaging systems. Chris also oversaw the construction of a new packaging facility in Chicago, IL.

In 2005, Chris took a position as Sr. Industrial Engineer with Olmarc Packaging. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing industrial engineering solutions to improve production efficiency. Chris also oversaw the construction of a new packaging facility in Detroit, MI.

Chris has been with Hearthside Food Solutions since 2008 and has held various positions within the company. Chris currently serves as the Vice President of Continuous Improvement where they are responsible for leading and managing continuous improvement initiatives across all Hearthside facilities.

Chris Terry's educational career includes completing a BSIE at the University of Illinois - Chicago, IL and also attending Proviso East in Maywood, IL.

They are on a team with Fred Jasser - SVP & Chief Strategy Officer, Lee Boyce - SVP & Chief Financial Officer, and Amy Rodgers - SVP & Chief Human Resources Officer. Their manager is Chuck Metzger, CEO.
