Brandon Martel began their work experience as a Software Developer at Manitoba Public Insurance in 2013, where they improved and maintained insurance software. Brandon then moved on to Tipping Canoe in 2014 as a PHP Developer, focusing on rewriting deal community sites. In 2015, they joined Bold Commerce as a Software Developer, where they developed an interactive video player and trained other developers on its maintenance and future feature releases. In 2017, they worked at Arclabs as a Lead Software Developer, providing full stack development for various contracts and developing scalable server and web UI solutions. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Frontend Web Developer at Pepper.com. In 2021, they joined Hypergiant as a Senior Frontend Developer before moving on to Heartex in 2022, where they currently hold the role of Senior Frontend Engineer. Starting in June 2023, Brandon will transition to the role of Lead Software Engineer at Heartex.

Brandon Martel attended Red River College Polytechnic from 2011 to 2013. Brandon pursued a degree in Business Information Technology with a focus on web development during their time at the college.
