Alex Batson has extensive work experience, with their most recent role being the Director of Finance and Accounting at HealthWay Family of Brands® since September 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Finance at Thermo Fisher Scientific for 15 years, overseeing a business unit that designed, manufactured, and sold digital cameras for radiation and scientific markets. Alex also held the position of Controller within the same business unit at Thermo Fisher Scientific for almost 9 years. Earlier in their career, Alex worked as a Supervisor in Cost and Analysis at Little Rapids Corporation from 1996 to 1998, and as an Accounting Manager at St. Lawrence Health System from 1994 to 1996. Additionally, they served as a Supervisor in Accounting & Control at Little Rapids Corporation from 1991 to 1993.

Alex Batson has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Clarkson University, which was obtained in 1991. Alex also completed an Executive Education Program at The Wharton School from 2012 to 2014. In addition, they have a certification in Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from IMA | Institute of Management Accountants, which was obtained in 1996.
