Jesús Mateos MartÃn is a Senior Scientist with extensive experience in proteomics and drug stability studies. Currently associated with the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Santiago de Compostela since November 2021, Jesús leads research on inflammatory ocular diseases and has previously worked at Galapagos, focusing on high-throughput proteomic analysis of immune cells under inflammatory conditions. Prior to these roles, Jesús served as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Spanish Council for Scientific Research, where the focus was on proteomic analyses related to Tuberculosis and allergic diseases. Additionally, Jesús managed mass spectrometry at the Servizo Galego de Saúde, contributing to genomic and proteomic studies of age-related diseases. Jesús began a scientific career as a PhD fellow at the Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas de Madrid, studying Drosophila melanogaster. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Licenciado en BiologÃa from Universidad de Alcalá.
