Brianna A. Baker

Health Policy Research Scholar at Health Policy Research Scholars

Brianna A. Baker, M.Phil, currently serves as a Clinical and Community Psychology Fellow at Yale School of Medicine and is a Member-at-Large for the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS). Brianna is also a consultant and Wellness Circle Facilitator with The Steve Fund, providing psychoeducation to high school students and has held various roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Teachers College, Columbia University, focusing on topics like stigma and mental health among marginalized populations. With experience in psychotherapy and research at institutions such as Jacobi Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Brianna has actively contributed to advancing health equity through involvement in the Health Policy Research Scholars program and co-founding the Black in Mental Health Collective. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Counseling Psychology in progress at Columbia University, complemented by a Master of Philosophy and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
