Thomas Bunz is currently the Head of Population and Pharmacy Analytics at Healthfirst, a position held since June 2019. Prior to this role, Thomas served as the Director of Healthcare Analytics at Crystal Run Health from 2016 to 2019 and worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut between 2013 and 2015. Thomas's experience at Cigna from 2008 to 2013 included the roles of Clinical Program Manager and Director of Advanced Pharmacy Analytics. Earlier in the career, Thomas held the position of Research Instructor at Thomas Jefferson University from 2006 to 2008 and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Rhode Island in 2005-2006. Beginning the professional journey as a Clinical Pharmacist at Advanced Pharmacy Concepts from 2004 to 2005, Thomas also gained experience as an intern at the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy in 2003. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a focus on Pharmacoeconomics and Pharmacoepidemiology and a PharmD from the University of Rhode Island.
