Jesús A. Moreno Castro has a diverse range of work experience in various positions. Jesús A. began their career as a Research Assistant at the Group Sadoway - Electrochemistry (MIT) in 2012, where they conducted research on upscaling liquid metal batteries for grid-level energy storage. Jesús A. also performed Scanning Electron Microscopy and conducted postmortem analysis on battery cells.
In 2013, Jesús worked as an Engineering Intern at Molymet, the world's largest molybdenum producer. Here, they studied the processing of molybdenum powders and constructed a sigmoidal model for their sintering behavior using Python.
From 2014 to 2015, Jesús worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Florida, where they researched solid-state NMR of semiconducting materials and performed cryogenic experiments.
In 2015, Jesús had multiple roles. Jesús A. worked as a Research Assistant at Bar-Ilan University, studying the homogeneity of the US economic elite and its impact on company performance. Jesús A. also worked as a Visiting Teacher in STEM at MIT Global Teaching Labs - University of Regensburg, collaborating with a team to teach biology, chemistry, and physics.
From 2015 to 2016, Jesús worked as a Teaching Assistant at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they taught small sections of students for Introductory Solid State Chemistry and co-taught high school chemistry at King's Academy.
From 2016 to 2018, Jesús worked as an Analyst at Cornerstone Research, where they applied statistical, financial, and economic modeling to complex litigation matters and managed a small team of analysts.
From 2018 to 2022, Jesús worked as a Research/Data Analyst at Appian Way Energy Partners. Jesús A. supported financial trading by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data using Python, SQL, and Excel. Jesús A. also designed and implemented predictive models for electricity pricing, electrical demand, and wind generation.
Most recently, Jesús joined the Health Data Analytics Institute in 2022 as a Senior Algorithms System Engineer.
Jesús A. Moreno Castro pursued their Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Jesús A. attended the institution from 2011 to 2016, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.
