Peter Oswald has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Peter began their career as a Student Systems Engineer at the City of Toronto and later at Canada Systems Group. Peter then joined Bell Northern Research as a Co-Op Programmer, where they developed test tools. Peter subsequently took on various roles as a Software Designer, working with C++ and scripting languages for the Passport and DPN-100 Data Switching products.
Moving on, Peter worked at Nortel as a Team Leader and later as a Manager, overseeing teams providing IT services and support. During this time, they supported the site reduction program and managed transitions within the team.
Peter also worked at Computer Sciences Corporation, where they held managerial positions. Peter led teams responsible for server systems support, reducing team size while improving service levels. Peter also coordinated activities during emergency situations, such as power outages.
In their roles at Agriculture Canada and Health Canada, Peter acted as a Project Manager and Chief, respectively. Peter managed projects related to data center fit-up, population, and server moves. Peter also oversaw technical applications and delivered implementations.
