Sakshi Gupta is a Principal Economist at HDFC Bank since November 2016, with previous experience as an India Economist at CRISIL Limited and an European Economist at HSBC Bank. At CRISIL, Sakshi was part of the Corporate Economic Research team, focusing on forecasting macroeconomic variables for the Indian economy and exploring broader macroeconomic themes. In the role at HSBC, research interests included the labor market and international trade, with involvement in building models for macroeconomic forecasts and monetary policy predictions for Norway. Early career experience includes an internship at the Planning Commission of India, where Sakshi engaged in time series forecasting for trade within the Five Year Plan. Sakshi holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research and a B.A in Economics (Hons) from Delhi University.
