Samantha Munoz has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Samantha began their career as an Auditor at Davidson, Freedle, Espenhover & Overby PC in 2001 and later transitioned to a CPA role at Davidson Freedle Espenhover & Overby, P.C. in 2010. During their time there, they also worked as a CPA, Audit Manager.
In 2004, Samantha joined Kerrville Roofing Inc as an Accountant/Office Manager, where they worked until 2017. Samantha then started their own business, Minnie Maids LLC, where they served as the Owner/Accountant for twelve years until 2019.
In 2010, Samantha joined HCTC and has held various roles within the company. Samantha began as a Sr Staff Accountant in 2010 and worked their way up to Chief Financial Officer, which they currently hold. Additionally, they worked as an Accounting Manager, Manager of Accounting and Finance, Controller, and Director of Accounting and Finance at HCTC.
In 2018, Samantha also became a Co-Owner of NobiliTEA - Kerrville, alongside their other professional commitments.
Samantha Munoz's education history began in 1997 when they attended the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor to study social work. Samantha stayed there for a year before transferring to Schreiner University, where they obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting in 2001.
In addition to their formal education, Samantha also pursued further certifications. In 2006, they became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) after obtaining the certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. Six years later, in 2012, they achieved the Chartered Global Management Accountant certification from the American Institute of CPA's. Their most recent certification, obtained in December 2020, is "Human Resources: Pay Strategy" from LinkedIn.
