James Kirkman has diverse and extensive work experience in the software engineering and financial technology sectors. James is currently working at Hazeltree as the Global Head of Solutions Consulting, focusing on pre-sales and providing solutions.

Before joining Hazeltree, James worked at Wise as the Principal Product Manager - Treasury. In this role, they were responsible for ensuring liquidity, pricing, and forecasting for cross-border payments.

Additionally, they worked as a Principal Engineer, assisting with software development, pre-sales, and client consulting.

Earlier in their career, James co-founded and served as a Director at Syncova Solutions, a financial technology firm acquired by Advent Software. James played a key role in growing the company and establishing it as a market leader in portfolio margin calculation software.

James began their career as a Software Engineer at various companies, including Barclays Investment Bank, Credit Suisse, J.P. Morgan, Derwent Information limited, and Nokia.

James Kirkman attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 1986 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, James obtained the CAIA Fundamentals of Alternative Investment Certificate from the CAIA Association in October 2017.
