Abigail Karels is an experienced editorial and content development professional with a strong background in behavioral health and educational curriculum design. Currently serving as Editorial Director and Senior Acquisitions Editor at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, Abigail collaborates with various experts to create high-quality behavioral health curricula. Previous roles include managing English Language Arts curriculum development projects at SABIS Educational Systems, and serving as a freelance editor, medical writer, and copy editor for notable organizations including Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Pearson.
