Austin Hernandez is a Senior Metallurgical Engineer at Haynes International, specializing in research and development of next-generation superalloys since June 2022. Prior to this role, Austin served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University from July 2020 to June 2022. Additional experience includes an internship in materials characterization at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in 2019, as well as a research assistant position focused on the electrochemical storage properties of titanium carbide nanowires at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 2018. Austin holds a Master of Science in Materials Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso.
