John Taylor is an experienced technology leader and entrepreneur, currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Hawthorne Effect, Inc. since January 2016, where efforts focus on transforming patient follow-up for clinical trials. Previously, as CEO and Co-founder of Spinapse, Inc. from 2004 to 2016, Taylor led engineering and creative teams in innovative software design and development. Prior roles include CEO at Zingtime, leading high-profile software projects for education and entertainment, and Senior Producer at Shockwave.com, where Taylor managed the development of the first multiplayer games. Additional experience includes directing content development at Organic, producing educational games at Apple Computer, and instructional design consulting at WGBH. Taylor holds a BS in Biology and BA in English from Stanford University, along with a Master's in Technology in Education from Harvard University and additional studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
