Jason Fisher has worked in the finance and human resources field since 2004. In 2021, they began working as the Human Resources Director at the Hawkeye Area Community Action Program. Prior to that, they were the Controller at SLB OF IOWA LC DBA Panera Bread of Iowa from 2020, where they oversaw all the financial operations for 23 cafes and $55M in annual revenue. From 2014 to 2020, they worked at the United Way of East Central Iowa as the CFO/Vice President of Finance and Administration and Controller. As CFO/Vice President of Finance and Administration, they managed a $12 million agency budget with oversight of all payroll, A/P, A/R, G/L, capital assets, procurement and financial compliance functions. As Controller, they were responsible for the completion of the external agency audit including the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and preparation of monthly financial statements for the Finance Committee and the Board of Directors. From 2004 to 2014, they worked at the Hawkeye Area Community Action Program as the Chief Financial Officer, Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program Director, and WIC and Family Community Health Alliance Compliance Specialist. As Chief Financial Officer, they managed a $27 million agency-wide budget consisting mostly of Federal or State grants. As Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program Director, they managed and authorized all financial transactions for a $5 million budget consisting of various Federal, State, and Local funding sources. As WIC and Family Community Health Alliance Compliance Specialist, they reviewed clinical and clerical documentation in order to bill Medicaid for various services while ensuring programmatic compliance standards were met.
Jason Fisher graduated from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business in 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in BBA Management Information Systems, having started their studies there in 1999.
