Blaine Kashiwaeda has extensive experience in the field of education, currently serving as Vice Principal at the Hawaii State Department of Education since July 2004, where previous roles included Science Teacher and leadership positions such as Assistant Department Head and Department Head. Kashiwaeda taught various science classes across multiple grades and co-founded the Kalakaua LEGO Robotics Team, serving as its coach for several years. Additionally, Kashiwaeda has a strong background in athletics, with multiple roles as an Assistant Baseball Coach at Mid-Pacific from 2000 to 2017, focusing on pitcher development and advanced defensive strategies. Academic qualifications include a Master of Education in Educational Psychology and a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education, both obtained from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
