Kate Blystone is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program and project management, planning, and community engagement. Currently serving as a Program Officer at both Hawaii Community Foundation and House Maui since October 2022, Kate previously worked as a Project Manager at Bowers + Kubota Consulting, overseeing environmental permitting projects and public engagement initiatives. A former Senior Planner with the Department of Planning in Maui County, Kate led the South Maui Community Plan Update process and has also held roles in outreach and education at organizations like the Pipeline Safety Trust and RE Sources for Sustainable Communities. With a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Eastern Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Western Washington University, Kate combines academic knowledge with hands-on experience in diverse planning and community advocacy settings.
