Yvonne Wang is a biostatistics intern at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where analysis of mutation rates in cancer tumor biopsies has been conducted. Concurrently, Yvonne serves as an undergraduate researcher at Yale School of Public Health, exploring the biomarker potential of spatial metrics related to tumor microenvironments in non-small cell lung cancer. Volunteering at HAVEN Free Clinic, Yvonne provides counseling on diet, exercise, and management of diabetes and hypertension for uninsured residents. Previous experience includes chairing the Mayo Mammography Health Study at Mayo Clinic, collecting data from over 20,000 women, and evaluating the clinical potential of AI software for mammogram interpretation. Yvonne also investigated protein aggregation in neurodegenerative disorders and designed magnetic coils for medical applications at Michigan Technological University, where a dual enrollment was completed. Yvonne holds a high school diploma from Houghton Central High School and is pursuing a BS in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry & History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health at Yale University.
