David Fairall currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Havant Borough Council since May 2023. Prior to this role, David held various positions at South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils, including People and Culture Manager and Strategic HR Manager from June 2018 to May 2023. David's experience includes working as an HR Advisor and Senior HR Advisor at Capita HR Solutions from October 2016 to June 2018, and serving as an HR Advisor at Sonardyne International Ltd from August 2014 to October 2016. David also worked as an HR Generalist at Eaton Hydraulics from August 2006 to August 2014 and as a Recruitment Consultant at WRUK Ltd in 2006. David’s career began at VT Shipbuilding as an HR Officer from September 2000 to August 2004. Educational achievements include a PgD in HR Management from the University of Portsmouth (2007-2009) and a BA (Hons) in English from the University of Plymouth (1997-2000), supplemented by an academic foundation at Portsmouth Grammar School (1990-1997).
