Heiða Kristín Helgadóttir has been involved in a number of professional roles since 2010. In 2010, they were the Vice Chairman of the Welfare Committee of Reykjavík, where they structured policy on welfare issues and services for the City. In 2012, they were the National Committee Chairman of Björt framtíð, where they ran for parliamentary elections in 2013. In 2014, they became a Member of the Board of Directors of Isavia, where they ensured flight safety in accordance with international safety requirements. From 2015-2018, they were a Member of Parliament for Alþingi and was the host of a weekly political news talk show for 365. In 2016, they became the Co-Founder and CEO of EFNI. In 2018, they became the Co-Founder of HausMart and in 2021 they became the Co-Founder of Digiphy. In 2022, they became the Startup Mentor for KLAK - Icelandic Startups and the Chairman of Niceland Seafood.
Heiða Kristín Helgadóttir received a BA in Political Science from Háskóli Íslands in 2009, and attended Menntaskólinn við Hamrahlíð from 1999 to 2003.
