Jay Downing has extensive experience in sales and management across various industries. Currently serving as a Regional Sales Representative at Hattori Hanzo Shears since March 2022, Jay previously worked as a Loan Officer at United Trust Bank from August 2021 to February 2022. A return to Hattori Hanzo Shears as a North East Ohio Sales Representative from 2015 to August 2021 built upon earlier experience. Jay’s background also includes key roles in the restaurant sector as a Senior Bartender at Bar Cento and a Manager at Greenhouse Tavern, where responsibilities encompassed customer service, staff management, and operational oversight. Earlier experience includes serving as Landscape Supervisor for the City of Strongsville, focusing on staff mentorship and landscape design. Jay holds an Associate of Art and Science degree from Cuyahoga Community College and a high school diploma from Saint Edward High School.
