Michelle K. Hanabusa is a creative professional with extensive experience in design and community engagement. As the Founder and Creative Director of UPRISERS since May 2019, Michelle K. Hanabusa has established a sustainable lifestyle brand that connects with community traditions. In addition, Michelle K. Hanabusa co-founded Hate Is A Virus in March 2020, a nonprofit aimed at combating racism and hate, currently leading a fundraising initiative for community organizations. Previous roles include designer at AEG and BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, and freelance designer for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, contributing to high-profile events and marketing campaigns. Michelle K. Hanabusa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design and Advertising from the University of Southern California.
