Since 2004, it has established and operated venture capital funds from UTEC No. 1 to No. 5, and has invested in more than 110 science/technology startups. So far, 13 companies have been listed on the stock market and 12 companies have performed M & A.
In his previous job (currently in the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry), he drafted the "Investment Limited Partnership Law" (established in 1998), which was the basis for Japan's venture capital funds.
He graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law in 1996, Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Stanford University in 2003, and Doctor of Engineering (Engineering) from the University of Tokyo in 2020.
