David Louis has a range of work experience in the intellectual property field. David started their career at Murgitroyd in 2002 as a Renewals Assistant, where they were responsible for calculating renewal deadlines and liaising with clients. David then moved up to become the Renewals Coordinator, overseeing the department's performance and playing a key role in integrating law firms into Murgitroyd. In 2011, they became the General Manager of Renewals, managing the busiest support services department and implementing new procedures. From 2013 to 2014, they served as the General Manager of Renewals and European Patent Validations, before joining HGF Limited as the Head of Trade Mark Formalities in 2017. In this role, they focus on strategy, resource optimization, and implementing new services to meet client demands. Overall, David has demonstrated a strong ability to manage teams, improve efficiency, and adapt to changing client needs.

David Louis attended the University of York from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Biology and Genetics with a focus on the EBOR program.
