Andrew Wells is a seasoned professional in intellectual property law and pharmaceutical sciences, currently serving as the Head of the Pharmaceutical Group and Partner at HGF Limited, where tenure began in November 2008. With a robust background, Andrew held the position of Senior Patent Attorney and Team Leader at AstraZeneca from June 2004 to November 2008, focusing on IP due diligence, freedom to operate assessments, and management of global patent portfolios for high-priority drug development projects. Earlier experience includes serving as an Associate at Wilson Gunn, handling patent portfolios in chemical, pharmaceutical, and material science technologies, and a brief tenure as a Formulation Scientist at West Pharmaceutical Services. Andrew holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Bachelor of Pharmacy, both from the University of Nottingham.
