Thao Phung has worked at Talent Select AI since 2021, where they are currently the Head of Machine Learning Engineering and a Data Scientist. Prior to that, they were a Research Assistant at Colorado School of Mines from 2020. From 2015 to 2020, they were a Library Technical Assistant, as well as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, at the University of Wyoming.

Thao Phung's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from the University of Wyoming, which they completed in 2018. Thao then pursued a Machine Learning Nanodegree from Udacity in 2016-2017, followed by a Deep Learning Foundation Nanodegree and an Intro to Self-Driving Cars Nanodegree, both from Udacity and completed in 2017. In 2018, they also completed a Front-End Web Development Nanodegree from Udacity and a Bertelsmann Data Science Challenge Scholarship. Currently, Thao Phung is a Graduate Student in Computer Science at the Colorado School of Mines.
