Julia McDowell is an experienced editor currently holding the position of Editor at HarperCollins Canada since September 2019, having progressed through roles including Associate Editor and Assistant Editor. Prior to this, Julia worked as a Freelance Editor with JM Edits and served as an Account Director at Ramsay Inc., where responsibilities included substantive and copy editing for high-profile clients in various sectors. Julia's earlier experience includes roles as a Law Office Assistant at Rogers Partners LLP and as an Editorial Assistant at the University of Toronto, supporting a professor with manuscript editing. Julia holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and English Literature from Victoria University, University of Toronto, and completed a program at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in 2018.
