Sonnet Gabbard, PhD, serves as the LGBTQ+ Initiatives Coordinator at Harper College since March 2024. Gabbard has held positions as a Faculty Lecturer at Butler University and DePaul University from August 2021 to March 2024. Gabbard's extensive teaching experience includes a full-time lecturer role at The Ohio State University from August 2012 to March 2023, where Gabbard taught various Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies courses. Gabbard's professional background also encompasses roles such as PR and Communications Consultant at Conmitto, Reception and Hospitality Manager at Lucky 13 Salon Collective, and Communications Director at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Gabbard holds a PhD in Women's Studies from The Ohio State University, as well as an MA in Women's Studies from the University of Cincinnati and a BS in Political Science from Butler University.
