John Lysic serves as the Vice President of Americas Field Engineering at Harmonic Inc. since March 1996, specializing in digital video streaming, processing, encoding, encryption, and delivery, with a strong reputation for problem-solving and situation resolution. Prior to this role, John was the Field Engineering Manager at Divicom from 1996 to July 2002, overseeing digital video systems deployments and service across the Americas, and played a pivotal role in establishing the Field Engineering & Service function for the EMEA region. John's earlier experience includes working as an International Customer Support Engineer at Hughes Network Systems, where significant contributions included leading VSAT integrations and developing a global service case management system, and as an NSA Systems Special Projects Engineer at Northrop. John completed education at the University of Maryland and received extensive training at the US Navy Cryptologic Systems Technical School from 1980 to 1987.
