Alex Eisenthal

Student Services Registration Associate at Harlem School of the Arts

Alex Eisenthal is currently the Student Services Registration Associate at Harlem School of the Arts. Prior to this, they worked as a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Research Fellow at The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and as a Government Documents Library Assistant at Oberlin College.

As a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Research Fellow, Alex was selected for a competitive national research program out of 20 applicants. They conducted two-year historical research which culminated in final paper being submitted to the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Journal. Alex developed effective writing, organizational and time management skills through participating in weekly workshops during academic year as well as for two summer research institutes. They also wrote literature reviews on a wide breadth of North American-Atlantic academic publications that informed their research.

As a Government Documents Library Assistant at Oberlin College, Alex utilized database/file management software to expedite workload of the Government Documents department by 50%. They also monitored, archived, and transitioned paperback into digital for 30+ projects.

Alex Eisenthal's educational career includes a Bachelor of Arts in Theirtory from Oberlin College.
