Shigeru Furuya is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the chemical and plastics industries. Currently serving as Operating Officer at Harima Chemicals Group Inc since June 2019 and President of Harima USA, Inc. since January 2018, Furuya has held various key roles including General Manager at Harima Chemicals Group and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. Furuya's background includes significant leadership positions at Advanced Composites, Mitsui Plastics, and Color & Composites Technologies. With a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Tohoku University, Furuya has a strong foundation in engineering principles applied to automotive applications and has demonstrated expertise in marketing and sales throughout a career spanning over three decades.
