James Reich has a diverse work experience in various industries. James started their career in 2002 as a Staff Scientist at Weaver Boos Consultants, where they coordinated environmental services for client projects. In 2006, they joined Gardner Bender as a District Sales Manager, overseeing a territory in the Midwest and leading a team of 35 sales representatives. James then moved to OEC Group in 2008 as an Account Executive, handling logistics for Fortune 500 companies and negotiating contracts with top-level executives. In 2010, they became an Account Executive at Kranz Inc. before joining Hardware Specialty in 2011 as a Field Sales Representative. At Hardware Specialty, they distributed commercial and military fasteners and electronic components on an international scale.

James Reich completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 1995 to 2001. James obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Conservation & Environmental Studies. In addition, they have acquired certifications in Solution Sales from LinkedIn, which was achieved in May 2020, and in Heyco University Online, an educational program offered by HEYCO® Products Corp., which they obtained in October 2021.
