Hanlie de Bod has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 at Blue Pencil Consulting as a Solution Manager Consultant and later transitioning to the role of Projects: Head of Operations and Sales. In 2015, they joined Britehouse as a Service Delivery Manager and eventually became the Operations Manager Service Delivery. Currently, they are working at Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator, where they began as the Head of IT Enablement and recently assumed the position of Chief Information Officer.

Hanlie de Bod attended the University of Johannesburg but did not obtain a degree. Additionally, they have a certification as a Certified SAFe® 4 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc.
