Joonas Salo has extensive work experience in various software engineering and development roles. Joonas is currently working as a Developer at Happeo, starting in April 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at callstats.io from May 2019 to December 2019. Joonas also worked at Etteplan MORE as a Software Designer from March 2015 to April 2019. Joonas Salo has previous experience as a Programmer at Deliservice Punnitse & Säästä Oy from February 2013 to February 2015, as a Member of Technical Staff at PacketVideo from June 2012 to December 2012, and as a Research Assistant at Tampere University of Technology from June 2009 to May 2012. Joonas started their career as a SW Developer Trainee at Teleste from June 2006 to May 2009. Joonas Salo also gained early experience as a Työharjoittelija at Nastopoli in June 2003 to August 2003.

Joonas Salo completed their education at the Tampere University of Technology from 2004 to 2012. During this time, they earned a Master of Science degree with a specialization in Software Development. In addition to their formal education, Joonas holds additional certifications. Joonas received the certification for "Essential Cloud Infrastructure: Foundation" from Coursera in January 2020 and the certification for "Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure" from Coursera in December 2019.
