Bea Grause serves as the President of HANYS, a position held since January 2016, and has also acted as Interim President. Previous leadership experience includes serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Vermont Association of Hospitals and Health Systems from 2001 to January 2016. Bea Grause's legal career includes a role as Counsel at Foley Hoag LLP and various positions in federal affairs with the Tennessee Hospital Association and the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association. Additional experience encompasses legislative roles with U.S. Representatives Joseph P. Kennedy II and Norman Y. Mineta, as well as clinical work as a Registered Nurse at Georgetown University Hospital. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree in Registered Nursing from Boston College, alongside participation in the Vermont Leadership Institute through the Advisory Board and the Snelling Center for Government.
