Jacob Newstead is an experienced Senior Trader at Hanwa Co Ltd since February 2015, specializing in non-ferrous and precious metals, as well as Ni-based alloys. In this role, Jacob steers strategic planning to develop innovative market penetration strategies in new markets. Previously, Jacob was a Commodity Trader focusing on the global trade of metals and alloys, emphasizing procurement in Europe and sales across Japan, Korea, India, and Southeast Asia. Additional experience includes Project Manager roles at AEON Corporation and CTS Nichibei, and a brief stint as an ALT at ALTIA CENTRAL. Jacob also served as a Language Instructor in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program(me) (JET), where workshops and coaching sessions were directed to support new teachers. Jacob's career began as a Mechanical Engineer's assistant at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management with East Asian Studies from The University of Sheffield.
