Hannah Stohr

Research Intern at HRSD

Hannah Stohr is a dedicated civil and environmental engineer with extensive experience in water management and research. Currently serving as a Research Intern at the Sustainable Water Initiative for Tomorrow (SWIFT) Research Center since June 2019, Hannah contributes to projects focused on indirect potable reuse and aquifer recharge. Previously, during an internship with the City of Olathe, Hannah conducted stormwater basin inspections, enhancing stormwater management practices. Earlier research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the KU Center for Environmentally Beneficial Catalysis included conducting literature reviews and collaborating on NSF-funded initiatives. Hannah Stohr is pursuing a PhD in Civil Engineering at Virginia Tech, building upon a Master of Engineering in Environmental Health Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas.
