Joanne Drew has a diverse work experience in education, starting as a Chapter 1 Mathematics Specialist in 1989. Joanne then moved on to roles such as Home-School Coordinator, Regional Transition Assistant, Lead Teacher, Assistant Principal, and Principal. Joanne'sresponsibilities included instructional leadership, grant writing, program implementation, teacher support, and resource coordination. Joanne has a proven track record of success in managing and improving educational programs and initiatives.

Joanne Drew holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (1975-1979), a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Hampton University (1979-1981), and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Human Development from The George Washington University (1996-1998). In 2011, they obtained a Post Graduate Professional certification in Education Administration and Supervision from the Virginia Department of Education.
