James Oliver has a strong background in marketing and digital strategy. James currently serves as the Group Marketing Director at Hampden Group since November 2016. Prior to that, they were the Non Executive Chairman at The Formery, leading operations in the Netherlands, UK, and South Africa. From 2005 to 2016, James co-founded and served as the CEO of Shake Interactive SA, specializing in emerging marketing technologies for global brands. James also held the position of Chief Operating Officer and Chairman at Nomads Agency BV from 2014 to 2016. Before that, they worked as the Digital Director at faulds and as the Joint MD at lastorders.com.
James Oliver has a diverse education history. In 1981 to 1986, they attended Stowe, where they did not earn a degree or specify a field of study. From 1988 to 2000, they studied the History of Art at Newcastle University, although they did not graduate with a degree. Subsequently, from 1999 to 2001, James pursued a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business and E-strategy at The University of Edinburgh. Finally, in 2018, they participated in an Executive Education program on Reputation and Executive Leadership at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
